Angeline R. Zelenak, 89, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Mon. July 5, 2010 in her home. She was born Dec. 2, 1920 in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late Michael and Frances (Suba) Fiedor. Angeline graduated from Hurst High School, and also was a graduate of the Potomic Valley Hospital School of Nursing in Keyser, WV. She worked as a registered nurse at Frick Hosptial in Mt. Pleasant until her retirement. Angeline was a member of Visitation RC Church, and the former Transfiguration RC Church and its rosary alter society. She is survived by a son Joseph P. Zelenak of Mt. Pleasant and daughter-in-law Marianne (Bunny) Zelenak of Norvelt, a daughter Bernice Waller and fiance Michael Oravetz of Mt. Pleasant, five grandchildren; Matthew Zelenak and wife Angela of Mt. Pleasant, Jason Zelenak and wife Jen of Somerset, Nicholas Zelenak of Norvelt, Dawn Marie Keefer and husband Dave of Norvelt, and Michael Waller of Rehoboth Deleware, three great grandchildren; Carly Zelenak, Mattox Zelenak, and Colten Keefer, four sisters; Sister Euphrasia and Sister Bernice Fiedor of the order of Felician Sisters, Greensburg, Sophie Shutty of Mount Pleasant, and Alice Hostoffer and husband Robert of Cleveland OH, a brother Frank Fiedor and wife Dolores of Raleigh, NC, a sister-in-law Helen Fiedor of Philadelphia, PA, and her extended family, Michael and Becky Oravetz and children Michael and Saylor of Scottdale, Justin and Shaye Oravetz and son Griffen of Mt. Pleasant, and Bart Oravetz of Mt. Pleasant. In addition to her parents Angeline was preceeded in death by her husband, Joseph J Zelenak in 1995, two brothers; Stanley and Joseph Fiedor, a sister Victoria Ogrodney, and a son-in-law Robert (Rocky) Waller. Family and friends will be recieved Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 PM in the Brooks Funeral Home Inc. 406 E. Washington St. Mt. Pleasant, where a blessing service will be held Friday at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 AM in Visitation RC Church Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Richard Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will follow in Transfiguration Cemetery Mt. Pleasant. The Transfiguration rosary alter society will recite the rosary Thursday at 6 PM in the funeral home.
