Frances A. Garsteck Neiderhiser, 84, of Calumet, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Sat. July 10, 2010 in Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. She was born Feb. 28, 1926, in Mt. Pleasant a daughter of the late Walter and Mary Keitz Garsteck. Frances was a graduate of the former Ramsay High School in Mt. Pleasnat. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant and a 50 year member of its choir. Frances loved music and used to sing the National Anthem every year at the Mt. Pleasant Memorial Day Celebration.
Frances will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her loving family, her sons Daun S. Neiderhiser of Calumet and Dan F. Neiderhiser and wife Kathy of Kennewick, WA., her granddaughter Jamie Roy and her husband Jason, and her grandson Jason Neiderhiser, her great grandchildren Sydney Roy and Lincoln Roy, her special niece Carrol Garsteck of Mt, Pleasant, and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Frances was predeceased by her husband Wilbert S. "Bill" Neiderhiser in 1988, her sister Genevieve Gangaware, and her brothers Walter, Anthony, Joseph, Robert, and Marion Garsteck.
It was Frances request that there be no public viewing or services. Interment will be in the Mt. Joy Cemetery beside her late husband.
