Harold R. Wilson, 89, of Mount Pleasant died Sunday July 18, 2010 in Amber House at Harmon House Convalescent Center, Mount Pleasant. He was born July 21, 1920 in Wooddale a son of the late Myrl and Hazel V. Bowser Wilson. Harold was a graduate of Connellsville High School. He was a retired machinist for the Pennsylvania Railroad. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army and he was a member of the Mt. Olive Evangelical Church. Harold is survived by his wife Dorothy I. Gadd Wilson; one daughter, June Elaine Stefl and her husband John of Elizabeth, Pa.; three grandchildren, Gregory Stefl and his wife Maura, Timothy Stefl and his wife Barbara and Jeffrey Stefl and his wife Mary; four great grandchildren, Zachary, Hannah, Erika and Brittany; one sister, Ruth Miner of Des Plaines, Illinois and one brother, Wayne Wilson and his wife Sylvia of Kingview. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a son, Harold Neal Wilson. Friends will be received from 7-9 P.M. Tuesday and 2-4, 7-9 P.M. Wednesday in the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 406 E. Washington St., Mount Pleasant. Additional viewing will take place on Thursday in the Mt. Olive Evangelical Church from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., the hour of services in the church with Rev. Joseph McCarty and Rev. Robert Patton co officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery.
