Kitty “Kit” Coffman Parker, 57, of Longwood, Florida, formerly of White, passed away July 25, 2010 surrounded by her loving family in her home. She was born August 8th, 1952 in Connellsville, a daughter of Charles and Norma Gales Coffman of White.
She was a graduate of Connellsville High School in 1970. She also graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 1976 with a degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology. She worked as a speech therapist for Gloucester County (Virginia) Public Schools for many years. She later moved to Lake Mary, Florida where she worked for HealthSouth as a sales marketer. Her last 10 years, she was a very successful real estate sales consultant, working for several new home builders.
Kit was a loving mother, wife, sister and daughter. She loved life, and enjoyed cooking and gathering with family and friends. She appreciated God’s beautiful gifts in nature, spending much of her spare time working in her flower gardens. An avid football fan, Kit spent many weekends watching her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State Nittany Lions.
She was preceded in death by her youngest brother, Denny Coffman of Indian Head.
In addition to her parents, Kit is survived by her husband of 20 years, Peter Parker of Longwood, FL; daughters Courtney Seigle and Breanne Riley of Longwood, FL; sisters Sue Rega of Wake Forest, NC and Pam Glassburn of Lake Mary, FL; brothers Charles of Ligonier, and Doug of Largo, FL; and many loving nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters in-laws.
Friends and family will be received Thur. from 5-9 PM in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., at the corner of route 711 and 146 Municipal Building Rd., Melcroft. A Funeral Service will be held Fri. at 11:00 AM in the Indian Head Church of God, 691 Indian Creek Valley Rd, Indian Head, with Rev. Edward Mikkelsen officiating.
