Roy P. "Pine" Keslar, 92, a lifelong resident of Donegal, passed away Tue. July 20, 2010 in the Excela Hospice at Jeannette Hospital. He was born Nov. 20, 1917 in Champion a son of the late Charles and Effie Stahl Keslar. Pine had worked as a Truck Driver in his early years and was a member of the Valley Brethren Church in Jones Mills. Pine is survived by his loving family, his daughters Jayne Zarycki of Donegal and her fiancee Carl Hare of Mt. Pleasant and Lynn Leeper and her fiancee Tim Cain of Acme, his daughter-in-law Darlene Keslar of Champion, his grandchildren Kim Donnelly and husband Pat of Jeannette, Mike Zarycki and wife Dawn of Champion, Kelli Barker and husband John of Indiana, PA., Kandi Fazekas and husband Jason of Norvelt, Kevin Keslar of Champion, Edward Leeper and wife Nadine of Trauger, and Megan Roddy of Mt. Pleasant, his 13 great grandchildren, a great great grandchild, his brother Vernon Keslar and wife Gladys of Donegal, and his sister Daisy Menzie of Youngwood, PA., and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Pine was predeceased by his wife Rebecca A. "Becky" Keslar in 2007, a son Edward Keslar, his sisters Lily Coffman and Susie Irwin, and his brothers John, Paul, Charles, Ray, and Loren Keslar.
Family and friends will be received from 2-9 PM Wed. in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., at the corner of route 711 and 146 Municipal Building Rd., Melcroft, where a funeral service will be held Thur. at 1:00 PM, with Pastor William Yoder officiating.
