Samuel C. Brooks President / Owner

Samuel C. Brooks represents the 4th generation of the Brooks Family to serve the families of the Fay-West area. After graduating from Eckles College of Mortuary Science in 1949 he became a licensed funeral director in 1950. He then served two more years with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He is an active member of many civic and community organizations. His wife, the late Norma Galardi Brooks passed in 1989. Sam is the father of nine children, 14 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

David S. Brooks is part of the 5th generation of Brooks Family funeral directors. A resident and community leader in Mount Pleasant, he is married to Jan Czekaj Brooks and has three children, Stephen and his wife Allison, Abbey, and Bob and two grandchildren, Brady and Callie. David is a graduate of Bethany College and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and is the supervisor of the Mount Pleasant Funeral Home location. He is available to serve the families of the Fay-West area from both of the Brooks Funeral Home locations.

Amy Brooks Hertznell Clerical Supervisor / Manager

Amy Brooks Hertznell is the Clerical Supervisor and Office Manager of the Brooks Funeral Homes. Amy is married to David Hertznell and resides in Connellsville.

Stephen D. Brooks Funeral Director

Stephen David Brooks is part of the 6th generation of Brooks family funeral directors. Stephen is a graduate of Penn State University and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He resides in Mount Pleasant and is married to Allison Scekeres Brooks. They have two children, Brady and Callie. In his spare time, Stephen is active as a volunteer in church and youth sports activities.

Jim is a longtime valued member of the staff. He is a graduate of Geibel HS and is married to Amy Gray Layton and has three sons. John, Zack, and Shane.
